My name is Linda Brown and I am the owner and designer of waggiwear LLC, a creative little
company that knows just how difficult it is to find collars and leashes for your dog that have as much personality as they do.
My love for animals goes back as far as I can remember. I always thought as a child I would grow up to become a veterinarian. As I got older, I found passion in art and design, and was drawn to anything that would give me an opportunity to be creative. I attended fashion design school and also earned a degree in commercial art from a local college. For nearly 20 years I have worked in the advertising and design field as a graphic designer, art director and creative director.
Yet there remained that still, small voice that was always reminding me of my passion for animals as well. What to do . . . what to do?
It wasn’t until after I earned my certification as a dog trainer in December of 2008, that I stumbled upon the idea of creating fun and colorful dog collars and leashes. After designing a set for a friend’s dog for her birthday, I was hooked and waggiwear™ was born.
Now, I have finally found a way to combine my God-given creative talent and my passion for animals (well, dogs anyway) to help fulfill the need of dog owners, looking for collars and leashes that reflect their dog’s individual personality. Big, small, or somewhere in between.
Made for comfort and longevity, I make all collars and leashes with high quality hardware, 100% cotton pre-washed fabrics I choose myself (my favorite part), and are lined for extra durability. They are also triple stitched at all stress points and are machine washable, which
is oh so important.
The signature waggiwear black and white striped fabric is incorporated on the inside of every collar as well as on one side of every leash. Think of it as the salt and pepper that seasons the flavor of color. That is what sets waggiwear apart from the others.
